WORC Department: Career Coach

Sample Duties Provide coaching and case management services to participants, advising about occupational training and/or educational programs needed for a particular career. Assess individualsí program qualifications, career and employment interests, abilities and aptitudes. Evaluate educational and occupational backgrounds, and address any skill gaps or other barriers related to employability. Assists program participants with developing resumes, completing career assessments, and developing an Individual Employment Plan. Enter all case notes and other information into NJCOS database system.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in related field, or equivalent experience
  • WIA/WIOA and/or Career Counseling experience and prior knowledge of NJCOS system is preferred
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license and clean DMV record
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Hours: Full Time, Monday Ė Thursday 7am to 5pm

    Job Title:

    No Place Like Home (NPLH) Case Manager

    Sample Duties This position will be responsible for providing direct case management services to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Will conduct initial interviews/intakes and needs assessments, provide supportive services to participants, create individual case plans based on needs, process rent and payment requests, conduct home visits and document all services provided into HMIS.
    Requirements:
  • Must have Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field, and experience working with homeless individuals, families and children with HIV/AIDS
  • Professional experience, as required by education.
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Hours: Full Time, Monday Ė Thursday

    MCIT Outreach Worker

    Sample Duties Conduct intake interviews, assess client needs, provide case management and mental health support services, maintain accurate data, provide service referrals, facilitate all necessary appointments, monitor and update client progress, provide direct supportive services, create client driven treatment plans, enter client data into HMIS systems. HMIS.
    Requirements:
  • Must have a mental health related Bachelorís degree or 2 years documented experience providing mental health services
  • Willing to go into places not meant for human habitation
  • Experience working with homeless and diverse population
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license
  • Hours: AM Shift 5:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday
    PM Shift 2:00pm to 12:00am Thursday through Sunday

    Job Title:

    WORC Youth Job Developer

    Sample Duties Provides clients with information about various employment programs/job openings in the community and outlying rural areas. Job Development/Employer Support: Initiates and maintains ongoing professional contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives, and job placement and training agencies to promote programs for client referrals. Conduct cold calls to potential employers. Explain the benefits and employment support services provided by programs to employers, including addressing any special needs the employer might have. Research newspapers, agency websites, and other resources for job leads. Locate jobs for clients who have successfully completed the training programs. Collect data from employers related to job orders, including job requirements and skills, matching job skills with applicant qualifications, referring qualified applicants to employers, conduct follow-up when applicants are placed in a position. Collects/Reviews timesheets from clients enrolled in OJTís & Work Experiences.
    Requirements:
  • Bachelorís degree in Human Resources or related field and 3 years of experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience with WIOA/Employment & Training Programs or Recruiting a plus.
  • Must have valid NV driverís license, clean DMV record, pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Hours: Monday Ė Thursday - 7am to 5pm
