Job Title:

MCIT Outreach Worker

Sample Duties Provides outreach and supportive services to the homeless/chronically homeless, living in places not meant for human habitation. Provides crisis intervention, assists with accessing community resources and support, conduct initial intake interviews and needs assessments, provides follow-up services, maintains accurate documentation of services provided to clients.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of local social service agencies and programs as they pertain to the local homeless population.
  • Bachelorís degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license and clean DMV record.
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.

    Job Title:

    Career Coach

    Sample Duties Provide coaching and case management services to participants, advising about occupational training and/or educational programs needed for a particular career. Assess individualsí program qualifications, career and employment interests, abilities and aptitudes. Evaluate educational and occupational backgrounds, and address any skill gaps or other barriers related to employability. Assists program participants with developing resumes, completing career assessments, and developing an Individual Employment Plan. Enter all case notes and other information into NJCOS database system.
    Requirements:
  • BA/BS in related field, or equivalent experience
  • WIA/WIOA and/or Career Counseling experience and prior knowledge of NJCOS system is preferred

    Job Title:

    New Beginnings Case Manager

    Sample Duties Provide outreach and supportive services to clients moving into long term housing, to promote transition from homelessness. Conduct initial assessments and create client driven treatment plans, as well as providing case management and crisis intervention. Complete monthly treatment plan reviews, monitor client progress, provide follow up services, and transportation to appointments. Document services in HMIS in real-time data.
    Requirements:
  • Bachelorís degree in Social Work, or combination of education and experience, substantially equivalent to a bachelorís degree.
  • Experience working with the homeless population.
  • Must have valid NV driverís license, clean DMV record, pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Hours: Monday Ė Thursday: 7am to 5pm

    Shannon West Homeless Youth Center

    Job Title:

    Substance Abuse Counselor

    Sample Duties Provide assessment of individuals that are referred/requesting services for substance abuse concerns. Provides individual and group treatment to address substance abuse issues. Coordinates treatment with referral sources, other agency providers and community service providers.
    Requirements:
  • Must have CADC/LADC OR CPC-I, MFT-I, LCSW-I.
  • Experience working with youth and adolescents preferred.
  • Must pass all pre-employment screening
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license and clean driving record
  • Hours: Varied

    Shannon West Homeless Youth Center

    Job Title:

    Case Manager

    Sample Duties Provide initial interview/intake and needs assessments for residents and individuals referred to the program. Will explain and assist with social service applications, and provide follow up services when needed. Coordinate treatment with referral sources, other agency providers and community service providers. Monitor residentsí progress, maintain accurate documentation in logs and HMIS. Will be responsible for weekly treatment plans, case notes, monthly/quarterly progress reviews and discharge summaries. Organize and facilitate group meetings according to schedule, and maintain group meeting logs. Provides direct supervision to residents while on duty.
    Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelorís degree in Social Work or related field, or a combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to a bachelorís degree
  • Experience working with youth and adolescents preferred
  • Must have and maintain valid Clark County Health Card
  • Must pass TB test
  • Must have and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification
  • Must have pre-employment physical
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must have a valid NV driverís license and clean driving record
  • Hours: Varied
    Full Time- 2nd Shift
